Many hotels offer a diversified entertainment programme and the guests are welcome to join in.

Included are daytime activities as aerobic, volleyball, water polo as well as entertainment programmes in the evening. Additionally at many places folkloric groups are invited to perform Cretan dances in traditional costumes accompanied by live music. Every year during the summer months, the town of Heraklion organizes a varied, cultural summer programme with open-air concerts, theatre and ballet performances and other interesting events.
